Suzanne Day: Painter and Illustrator, Suzanne received her Masters in Fine Arts from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. Suzanne has the ranking of Professor of Art and has taught at many universities such as Tulane University, William Carey University, the South Carolina Governor’s School of the Arts and Furman University. Her students have won many national and regional awards from the American Advertising Federation.
She was named educator of the year by the Gulf Coast Advertising Federation, and second runner up for the prestigious national Hileman Award for the American Advertising Federation. Suzanne has won many Gold and Silver ADDY awards through out the years she worked as an freelance illustrator and art professor. She has also won several best in shows for her colorful pastel and oil landscapes.
She was selected to illustrate the poster for the 1992 Summer Olympics for Barcelona,
Spain by the United States Olympic Committee, selected to design a CD music cover
for Walt Disney, portrait for singer Kenny Logins as well as many illustrations for
companies such as At&T, Velux Corp. Suzanne’s illustrations have appeared in Country
Music Magazine, Southern Living Magazine, Sailing Magazine, Readers Digest,
Recorded Books Inc., and various companies around the country.
She is a past member of the prestigious Catherine Lorraine Wolfe Art Club in New York
City. Suzanne’s illustration and commissioned portraits are in many private collections
around the country.
